1.  Ludington Beach House is the closest lodging to Ludington's Lake Michigan sugar sand beaches, North Breakwall Lighthouse, and amazing sunsets.  Located directly across Lakeshore Drive from Ludington City Beach, voted one of the best beaches.  

2.  This classic 1950's motel had extensive renovations and upgrades in the winter of 2017.  New luxury beds, New high thread count linens, New plush towels, New 40" HD1080 flatscreen TV's, New Professionally installed WiFi, New LED lighting, New Fridges, New Microwaves, New coffee maker, New paint, New flooring, clean and ready for you in 2022.

ARE YOU CLOSE TO THE LIGHTHOUSE, PIER, AND LAKE MICHIGAN BEACHES?

The Ludington Beach House location is the very best!  We are the closest vacation lodging to the sandy Lake Michigan beaches for which Ludington is known.  Enjoy a beautiful sunset, a leisurely walk on the pier, watch the car ferry come or go from the Lighthouse, or stroll downtown without getting in a car.  Located across the street from the beach makes this a great location.

HOW DO I BOOK AND PAY FOR MY ROOM?

Ludington Beach House is a online booking vacation rental property.  Our reservation system on this site is dependable, easy to use, and safe.  Simply put in the dates wanted and number of people in the property search box.  Because we want a safe, quality vacation spot for all our guests we do not accept any walk-ins or cash.  We prefer you to use this website reservation system for your online booking.  You will also find us on AirB&B, VRBO and other sites but they do charge a booking fee.  We do have a minimum night stay.  If you have any questions please contact us.

 

HOW DO I CHECK IN?

For convenience and security, we have removed all old key locks and switched to digital code locks.  We will send you a unique door code just for your stay and all guest codes change after every checkout.  We have used different systems in our own travels with our family and have found the unique code system a very safe and convenient way to rent.   This method allows you to check in and check out anytime.

DO YOU HAVE GOOD WI-FI?

In the winter of 2017, Ludington Beach House had a new WiFi mesh system professionally installed for maximum bandwidth.  Our WiFi is free to guests and we have invested in a strong system with low down time for our guest to enjoy.

HOW ARE YOUR TV'S?

All new, Winter of 2017.  Our TVs are 40" (or larger) wall mount HD1080 flat screens.  All Studio units have one TV and all suites have two or more TV's (1 in each Bedroom and 1 in Living Room).  They all have HDMI inputs if you want to plug in a device.  We have a high level of channels for your enjoyment.

HOW NEW ARE YOUR BEDS?

At Ludington Beach House every single bed was replaced in the winter of 2017 with top quality mattresses and high thread count sheets and linens.

DO YOU HAVE A POOL?

Yes, we have a outdoor heated pool which is open from late May until early Sept. Pool use is for registered guests and owners only.  No lifeguard is on duty so all minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Pool hours are 9 am to 9 pm.

WHAT SIZE AND STYLE OF UNITS DO YOU HAVE?

Ludington Beach House has 39 units with studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom units available on the beach.  We have several different room style options. If you’re a single person or a couple visiting our Studio Queen room is our most economic stay and includes a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The one bedroom suite with a Queen bed is larger, with most having two small bathrooms and a bedroom but also a separate living room with a sleeper sofa, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. All rooms have a mini fridge, microwave and coffeemaker.  The Suites have a separate bedroom from living room. The Studio units have a small table in room.  View the room pictures to help you decide what work best for you.

WHAT IS YOUR 3 BEDROOM UNIT LIKE?

Ludington Beach House has a super large three bedroom and two bath unit second floor unit with great views of Lake Michigan and the Lighthouse.  This unit has two living areas, and a large kitchen.

DO YOU SERVE BREAKFAST?

No.  We have some great local restaurants and have some deals in your check-in packet.   There also is a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in every room.  Walk to some of our great restaurants or the local marketplace a few blocks away for all your needs.  (Our local downtown marketplace is unique as you can have your favorite wine, beer, or cocktail while shopping)

DO YOU ALLOW PETS?
We do not allow pets of any type in rooms or on the property. 

​

SMOKING POLICY?
We do not allow smoking in any of our rooms or anywhere on the property.


HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED IN A ROOM?
All of our Studio rooms accommodate up to two people.  One bedrooms accommodate up to 4 people.  Any exceptions must be approved prior to booking.

INDIVIDUAL ROOM CONTROL FOR HEATING AND AC? 

Yes, every unit has its' own heat and AC that our guests control.

DOES EACH UNIT HAVE A PARKING SPOT?

Yes, every unit has one assigned parking spot.  If you have a trailer or additional cars they will have to park on the street.

ARE THERE HAIRDRYERS IN EACH ROOM? 
Yes, there are hair dryers in all of the rooms.

WHAT ARE THE QUIET TIMES FOR THIS PROPERTY?  
Our goal is to maintain a quiet peaceful property.  We have a big sandy beach, playground, mini-golf and skate park across the street for all our wild and crazy times.  Most our guests are looking for a place to relax so we ask for a quiet time of 10 pm anywhere on the property.  Many of our guests are to bed early, rising early to catch the carferry, golf, charter fishing, hiking or sunrise watching.

CAN WE WALK TO THE DOWNTOWN AND RESTAURANTS? 
Yes, we are just four short blocks to House of Flavors ice cream shop and restaurant and the start of downtown.  Ludington has a nice variety of restaurants for your tastebuds and budgets.

ARE WE CLOSE TO BEACHES?  

You are the closest at Ludington Beach House.  Located directly across Lakeshore Drive from one of Lake Michigan's best beaches for you to enjoy.  The Ludington beach was voted as one of the top ten beaches in the nation.  We also have the historic North Breakwall Pier and Lighthouse for you to enjoy.  Our sunsets are amazing!

ARE THERE HIKING TRAILS NEARBY?
Yes, right up Lakeshore Drive the Ludington State Park has a wonderful trail system with 18 miles of foot trails through forested flat and hilly terrain.  There are 5,600 acres to explore both along Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake.

ARE YOU CLOSE TO THE LUDINGTON STATE PARK?  
Yes, the city beach is across the street, but we are only 3.6 miles to the start of Ludington State Park and its' miles of secluded beaches and wooded trails. 

​

ARE THERE LIGHTHOUSES TO VISIT NEARBY?  
The North Breakwater Lighthouse is across the street.  The North Breakwater Light and Big Sable Point Lighthouse are two iconic stops right here in Ludington.  The North Breakwater Light is ranked #1 in Michigan to visit to watch the sunset, plus from there you can watch the arrival/departure of the S.S. Badger carferry.  Big Sable Point is listed on both the State and National Registers of Historic places.  If you’re a lighthouse follower, there is also the North Pier head Lighthouse in Manistee, Little Sable Point Lighthouse in Silver Lake, and Pentwater Pier Head Lights, all close by.

HOW FAR IS THE CAR FERRY?  
The carferry is about 3 minutes away by car or bicycle ride.

WHERE CAN I SHOP?  
Downtown Ludington is 5 easy walking blocks away and there are shops, galleries, vintage and antique shops downtown..  

​

ARE THERE ANY RESTAURANTS YOU WOULD RECOMMEND?
Yes, we love good food, and we have our own favorites.  Our check-in packet has some great deals at our favorite places.

HOW ABOUT BIKE RIDING AND TRAILS?  
Yes!!!  Ludington is a wonderful place for biking …. around town, out to and around the Ludington State Park, or on off road trails located in a school forest located in town. 

​

CAN I RENT A BIKE IN LUDINGTON?  

Yes, we have two good bike rental stores in Ludington.

​

IS THERE ANY PLACE TO RENT KAYAKS, PADDLE BOARDS, OR CANOES?  
The Ludington State Park offers great rentals plus the park has a marked canoe trail.  Jeff and Patti run a remarkable business, employing local youth, and have some really nice rental equipment.

​

GOLF COARSES NEARBY?  
There are three golf courses close by:  Hemlock Golf Club http://www.hemlockgolfclub.com/  , Lakeside Links http://www.lakesidelinks.com/ and Lincoln Hills (a semi-private golf club) http://www.lincolnhillsgc.com/.  

THINGS TO DO AROUND LUDINGTON?  
Ludington is one of Michigan’s featured “beach towns”, home to natural beauties that includes two historic lighthouses, miles of pristine Lake Michigan beaches, rolling sand dunes, the Pere Marquette National Scenic River and the ever popular Ludington State Park, Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness, Manistee National Forest area , and the largest charter fishing fleet on the great lakes. Weekly Farmers Markets, Art shows, Movies in the park, Friday night live, Fourth of July celebrations, and Sandcastle's Children's Museum which features hands-on exhibits and programming (a must see if you have children under 11).
